3D Print Management

The first 3D printer with print management features and a comprehensive accounting system to manage and recover 3D printing costs.

• Deecontrol adds the layering to an existing design file (for example a CAD file) in preparation for 3D printing. Deecontrol also estimates the time and cost of materials for the print job.
• Print roaming users or students can print from any 3D printer in the print environment they are authorised to use.
• Authentication defines who can access 3D printers and manages authentication through either an ID card, username/ password, PIN or a combination of these methods.
• Credit and billing verifies the students account for sufficient funds and if funds are available, the print job begins. Once the print job begins, eDee’s doors are locked to unauthorised users preventing tampering or theft of the 3D object.
• Reporting fact-based data on 3D printer access and usage. Provides data for analysis to determine if costs are being recovered through pay-for-print or if pre-paid lab fees or tuition fees need to be adjusted.
